Firm Profile

Colleen Ward-Lucas, CPA, CA,  joined the firm in 1992, became a partner in 1998, attended the In-Depth Tax Training Courses offered by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants from 1998 to 2000 and has acted as our managing partner since 2003.  With her strong background in developing, designing and monitoring systems, it makes her a natural to lead our firm and ensure we deliver our services in an efficient, compliant manner.  She has extensive experience with owner/managed business including tax, retirement and estate planning with an emphasis on professional corporations.

In September 2012 Charlie Martin, CPA, CA, joined the firm. Charlie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. Charlie continues to build his practice within the firm's established specialty areas. His unique blend of past experiences in both public accounting and private industry give him a distinct ability to provide clients with a wide variety of accounting, assurance and taxation services coupled with sound business advice. Charlie is currently the Past President of the Community Counselling and Resource Centre (CCRC).

In 1989 Chris Howden and Don Norris joined Norm Orbell to found Orbell Howden & Norris LLP. Since then, the firm has had reputation for providing a high level of of expertise and service with a sense of urgency.  Upon the retirement of Norm Orbell in June 2012, the firm rebranded as Ward McFarland LLP. On July 1, 2018 the firm announced its new name and branding as Ward-Lucas Martin LLP
